Fire alarm systems and detection warns people when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other fire-related emergencies are detected. Fire Extinguishers
An active fire protection device used to extinguish or control small fires, often in emergency situations. It is not intended for use on an out-of-control fire, such as one which has reached the ceiling, endangers the user (i.e., no escape route, smoke, explosion hazard, etc.), or otherwise requires the expertise of a fire department. Backflow Prevention Devices
A backflow prevention device is used to protect potable water supplies from contamination or pollution due to backflow. Backflow means the undesirable reversal of flow of a liquid, gas, or suspended solid into the potable water supply; a backflow preventer is designed to keep this from happening. Points at which a potable water system connects with a non-potable water system are called cross connections. Such connections occur naturally in appliances such as clothes washers and dishwashers, but they must be carefully designed and installed to prevent backflow.
